Fr Gerry Dunn

It is with great sadness that we share with you the news that Fr Gerry Dunn passed away earlier this week. Fr Gerry was, until his retirement just last year, Parish Priest of St. John Southworth in Cleveleys, Priest Chaplain at Cardinal Allen, and one of our Foundation Governors. He celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood in July just gone and was a loyal and humble servant to the Diocese of Lancaster throughout.

Fr Gerry was a true blessing on our school and we would ask you all to remember him in your prayers and to give thanks for the many blessings that he brought to the lives he touched. We will, of course, remember Fr Gerry at some appropriate time in school after the half-term break.

Fr Gerry’s Requiem Mass will take place at St. Wulstan’s Church on 25th October at 11.00am.
